Parasitology Lab

In SKS Medical College in SKS International University, we have bacteriology lab in a Microbiology Department. It provides essential training for our medical students in identifying, diagnosing, and understanding the life cycles and pathogenic mechanisms of various parasites.Parasitology Lab is very well equipped Infrastructure such as work stations, Storage and sterile area. Major equipments are available in lab such as Microscopes, Incubators, Autoclaves, Centrifuges, Refrigerators and Freezers for storing samples and reagent, Bunsen Burnersfor sterilization & aseptic techniques.Water Baths for maintaining samples and reagents at specific temperatures. Glassware includes Pipettes, Petri dishes, Test Tube & Flask, Slides and cover slips.Safety Equipment includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as Lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles, Biological Safety Cabinets for handling pathogenic bacteria safely, Emergency Equipment like First aid kits, fire extinguishers, and eye wash stations. Culture Media includes Specialized Mediafor culturing specific parasites, such as those for protozoa or helminthes, Prepared Slides which are Ready-to-use slides with parasite samples for teaching purposes. Apart from this we have Diagnostic Tools include Staining Kits, Biochemical Test Kits, and Molecular Biology Tools. The bacteriology lab is an essential part of the microbiology department, providing practical skills and theoretical knowledge to our budding doctors, which is necessary to diagnose and treat bacterial infections effectively.
