Central Sterile Services (CSSD)

The Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) in a SKS Hospital in SKS International University is a critical unit responsible for the sterilization and preparation of medical and surgical instruments and equipment. This department plays a crucial role in preventing infections and ensuring the safety and readiness of medical tools. We have following equipment used in the CSSD such as:Autoclaves, Washer-Disinfectors, Ultrasonic Cleaners, Sterile Storage Cabinets: Instrument Tracking Systems: Function: Track instruments through the cleaning and sterilization process to ensure accountability and traceability. Drying Cabinets., Packaging Equipment, Water Treatment Systems, Chemical Sterilizers. The primary role of the CSSD in SKS Hospital is to prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) by ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized. CSSD Provides sterile instruments necessary for surgeries and other medical procedures, ensuring patient safety it also ensures a consistent supply of sterile instruments, enabling smooth operation of hospital departments.
