HERBAL GARDEN: The Faculty of Ayurveda is maintaining an excellent herbal garden consisting of numerous medicinal plants which are used for preparing medicines. The garden is systematic and well equipped with medicinal plants labelled properly with indigenous and scientific names. The garden is looked after by gardener and trained faculty. All the plant species were authentically identified by expert taxonomists.

College of AYURVEDA in SKS International University, Mathura provides a well-equipped library with a collection of both classic and modern works of Indian medicine. The periodical collection consists of current subscriptions on Ayurveda, nutrition, conventional medicine, journals on research and current advances in Ayurveda. During the academic year, Library is open from Monday to Saturday. Library material is readily accessible to all students, faculty and other doctors of the Institution. AFFILIATION & APPROVAL

About Ayurveda
The new mantra of urban living is go for the herbal way. The cosmetic sections at departmental stores display herbal. Ayurvedic products that claim to not just cure but also prevent any illness. Ayurveda or Science of life has its roots in India. The system cures and prevents diseases by eliminating their root cause. According to Ayurveda , five basic elements, namely, earth, water, air, fire, space impact our well-being in more than one way. A correct balance of these five’s is needed to restore health. Analysts says that almost 80 percent of Indians uses Ayurvedic treatment either in its entirety or combining it with allopathic medication, As lifestyle disease grip urban population, awareness about the world`s oldest medicine increased phenomenally. The increasing demand for Ayurvedic doctors across pharmaceutical companies and government hospitals is due to the trust developed by the alternative medicine as the herbal route to curing diseases. In 2003, the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy ( AYUSH ) was established by Government of India to support and promote research and education in the field of Ayurvedic Science. Graduate training prepares you for a research career in institutions from health, medicine, agriculture and environmental sectors. Apart from that, pharmaceutical, food and beverages sectors also recruit graduates in a big way. Students interested in postgraduate studies have as many as 20 specialized fields to select from. This can be attained by pursuing courses leading to Master`s of Medicine ( MD-Ayu ) / Master of Surgery ( MS-Ayu) degree. Some of the popular specializations are Kaya Chikitsa, Panchakarssa, Drayyaguna, Salya, Salyaka and Prasutitantra, Rasasatra and Kshar Sutra. Apart from MD specialization you can also go for PG Diploma programmes.
