In SKS Hospital in SKS International University we have licensed Blood Bank within a hospital which is designed to collect, process, test, store, and distribute blood and blood components for transfusion. Where we ensures a safe and adequate supply of blood to meet the needs of patients. Our Blood Bank has following facilities such as Collection Area which include Donor Chairs, Phlebotomy Equipment like Sterile needles, blood collection bags, and tourniquets, Donor Screening Station for evaluating donor eligibility through medical history and physical examination, Refreshment Area for post-donation snacks and beverages to help donors recover. Blood Bank Processing Laboratory has major equipment likeCentrifuges, Blood Bag Sealers, Automated Blood Analyzers for performing blood typing, antibody screening,and infectious disease testing, Refrigerated Centrifuges for processing and separating blood components at controlled temperatures, Sterile Connecting Devices for connecting blood bags and components in a sterile manner. Blood Bank has Testing and Screening Area for Serological Testing, Rapid Test Kits etc. For Storage facility blood bank has Blood Bank Refrigerators, Platelet Incubators and Agitators, Plasma Freezers, Temperature Monitoring Systems for continuous monitoring and recording of storage conditions. The blood bank works closely with various hospital departments to meet transfusion needs, including, Surgical Departments: Providing blood for elective and emergency surgeries, Obstetrics and Gynecology: Ensuring availability of blood for childbirth-related complications, Emergency Departments: Rapid provision of blood for trauma and acute medical emergencies, Intensive Care Units (ICU): Supporting critically ill patients with blood components. In Blood Bank we have highly trained staff and advanced equipment to maintain high standards of safety and quality. We organize blood donation camp on regular interval to ensure keep the reserve stock of blood for any emergency situation.
